Seiseikai is an Aikido system created by Kyoyuki Terada Hanshi 10 Dan IYAF.
Talking about Seiseikai, is like talking about Yoshinkan,
because Master Terada based his techniques on this system.

The founder of Yoshinkan is Gozo Shioda, but it is not well known, that Shioda also took
part in creating Seiseikai- officially in July 1955. However it is Shioda who
founded the first Yoshinkan dojo, which became the main abode, and received the title “Kancho”, which means “head of the family”.

Yoshinkan is a tougher version of the traditional Aikido that comes from practical efficiency and strong techniques. I do not want to say that in Yoshinkan we replace technique with force. Do not misunderstand me. Yoshinkan is pure technique which has to work against the opponent. The source of this style is strength coming out from our centre, or by speaking more common language, it is based on using the power of our centre of gravity, not the strength of our muscles. That is why Yoshinkan techniques are very effective. To train it we use Kichon Dosa, which is practiced only In Yoshinkan and Seiseikai. Kichon Dosa consist of six elements which, put in a proper arrangement, can be similar to Kata forms, but it can also be done in pairs. Kichon Dosa is based on the hard work of knees, hips and shoulders. The energy combined in whole, creating the perfect technique, which is the basic of any further techniques in Yoshinkan.
Yoshinkan as an Aikido style, is very similar to Daito Ryu, and because it is a very effective style, it is used in Japanese police force.

There can be a question: what is Seiseikai and what for Sensei Terada made it? In every Aikido style, there are two types of techniques which are called : osae ichi and ni, or ura and mae etc. As everyone knows it comes from the direction of the attack of your opponent, or, in other words, when we are being pushed or pulled. But what happens when we are not being pushed nor pulled? That was the question asked by Sensei Terada and the answer he had given, was Seiseikai.
Techniques in Seiseikai slightly differs from Yoshinkan and, you can say, it is even more effective then Yoshinkan Aikido. Kyoyuki Terada Hanshi is up to this day, the greatest master of Yoshinkan Aikido in the world. He has also the title of Saikoo Shihan In Yoshinkan Aikido, is the chairman of the international organization National Yoshinkan Renmei and Yoshinkan Seiseikai and is also the only Saikoo Shihan in Yoshinkan Aikido.
